1. Showers and thunderstorms in association with a low pressure system
located about 1050 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii continue to
show signs of organization.  Environmental conditions are expected
to be conducive for the development of a tropical depression during
the next day or so before upper-level winds become less conducive by
mid-week.  This disturbance has crossed into the Central Pacific
basin, and is expected to continue to move westward over the next
few days.

今年很可能是聖嬰發展年，中太、東太近赤道區的海溫升高，也許又有機會出現睽違3年的跨越換日線颱風了。

話是沒錯，隔幾年似乎有跨洋而來的颶風充抵西太平洋颱風，但這個系統距離國際換日線還有4000公里遠，要越界還有點跑呢！
