B. TROPICAL DISTURBANCE SUMMARY:
(1) AN AREA OF CONVECTION (INVEST 92W) HAS PERSISTED NEAR
4.7NN 135.5E, APPROXIMATELY 190 NM SOUTHEAST OF PALAU. AN AREA OF
CONVECTION (INVEST 94W) HAS PERSISTED NEAR 4.7N 135.2E,
APPROXIMATELY 200 NM SOUTHWEST OF PALAU. ANIMATED MULTISPECTRAL
SATELLITE IMAGERY AND A 232306Z 91GHZ SSMIS IMAGE DEPICT FLARING
UNORGANIZED CONVECTION WEST OF AN IMPROVING LOW LOW-LEVEL
CIRCULATION. HOWEVER, THE LOW-LEVEL VORTICITY SIGNATURE IS STILL
ASYMMETRIC AND DISORGANIZED. INVEST 92W IS CURRENTLY INSIDE THE
REGION OF LOW (5-10 KNOTS) VERTICAL WIND SHEAR AND VERY WARM (30-32
CELSIUS) SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURES. GLOBAL MODELS INDICATE THE SYSTEM
WILL REMAIN A WEAK CIRCULATION DRIFTING WEST TO NORTHWEST OVER THE
NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED SURFACE WINDS ARE ESTIMATED AT
10 TO 15 KNOTS. MINIMUM SEA LEVEL PRESSURE IS ESTIMATED TO BE NEAR
1008 MB. THE POTENTIAL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL
CYCLONE WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS IS LOW.
